FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Society of Physicists of Macedonia will organize the 7th Balkan Physics Olympiad \u2013 BPO7<\/b>, a competition addressed to high school students from the Balkan countries. The competition will be held under the auspices of the Balkan Physics Union (BPU)<\/b> and with the financial support of the European Physics Society (EPS)<\/b>, Faculty of natural sciences and mathematics – Skopje<\/b> and the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje<\/b>.<\/p>\n

On BPO7 students from 10 BPU countries will participate (ALB, BUL, CYP, GRE, MKD, MOL, MON, ROM SRB, TUR) and 6 guest countries (AUT, BIH, HRV, KAZ, SVN and TKM).<\/p>\n

According to the Competition Regulations, each country can be represented by a team of 4 students born after January 1, 2008, or with maximum 3 months before this date, if they are part of the same year of study as the students accepted according to the above-mentioned age limit. The team will be accompanied by 2-3 professors appointed as leader, co-leader and member of the Scientific Committee (SC).<\/p>\n

The competition will consist of a single test with 4 problems. The official language is English, but the problems will be translated by one of the accompanying teachers and students can write the test in the official language of their country Physical presence (on-site) is mandatory for those who want to participate in the competition. A fee of 100 Euro\/participant will be charged from students, leaders, and co-leaders (not from SC members). The fee for guests\/observers is 500 Euro. These fees will fully cover the costs related to the accommodation and meals, the travel expenses being in the responsibility of the local (home) authorities.<\/p>\n

Our kind request to you, as the entitled person, is to confirm the number<\/b> of participants (Students+Leaders+SC), until March 1, 2025<\/b>, through an email sent to the address lambe@pmf.ukim.mk. Please in the letter send all the necessary information about the preparation of Invoice and to whom to be send it.<\/p>\n

Dead line for problem submission by the BPU countries<\/b> will be May 15, 2025<\/b>. The problems should be sent to the Prof. dr Irina Petreska (irina.petreska@pmf.ukim.mk<\/b>), which will be Macedonian representative in the SC of BPO7.<\/p>\n
